Mental Disorders Top National List of Health Conditions.

Feelings of helplessness, hopelessness, worthlessness or guilt, loss of interest in daily activities, anger or irritability, feelings of panic and fear, problems sleeping, feelings of losing control or going crazy, heart palpitations or chest pain, persistent urges or images that cause distress or anxiety are only a fraction of your problems.

A significant number of adults we see in our practice list anxiety or depression as one of their top health concerns. This is not at all surprising given that anxiety and depression are two of the most common mental health issues in our society, affecting approximately 20% of adults.  Anxiety and depression are complex set of emotional and functional variations often experienced together. They can devastate your life and wreak havoc on your health.

Depression is a state of “mind” characteristic of a spectrum of negative feelings ranging from minor unhappiness to overwhelming despair that can be debilitating and severely affect your life and ability to perform everyday tasks.

Although everyone experiences these times, when they feel sad or anxious and don’t enjoy life, for some people the emotional and often physical pain becomes so severe and/or prolonged that it becomes a problem. According to the National Institute of Mental Health, every year about 19 million American adults suffer from depression and over 18 million suffer from anxiety disorders.

New research is beginning to bring a whole new understanding of depression and mental health and surprisingly, it doesn’t start in your brain, but in your gut. Nourishing your gut microbiome can make you healthier and happier. Among other things your gut microbiome is responsible for producing about 95% of serotonin (feel good amino acid). Without sufficient amount of serotonin you will be depressed.

“The last time I was in for my appointment, you asked me to write something in the book after I said “Dr. Ross Rocks!” Due to time constraints at that time, I wanted to wait and send you an email. Here you go! How do you tell your husband that another man changed your life? It’s easy, you just tell him about your visits with Dr. Ross Stewart! Dr. Ross, you have changed my life. When I came to you I was a mess. I was suffering from symptoms of menopause, and damage done to my body by a medical treatment I endured for a prolonged amount of time. I had mood swings, insomnia, weight gain plus other symptoms that have been gone so long (thanks to you) that I can’t remember them! After working with you for about 6 months with “Neurotransmitter Therapy” and other supplements you suggested, I have almost zero symptoms. You have truly changed my life and that of my husband’s because he enjoys being around me more now! Thank you for taking the time to work with me and continue to make changes in my treatment until you were able to make a difference. I had been to my gynecologist, internal medicine doctor and a hormone specialist. Both doctors told me my problems were just a part of menopause and dismissed them as a natural part of my life now. Fortunately, my hormone specialist recommended that I see you! Thanks again for helping me feel better and to be happy being myself again!”

A Powerful family of Amino Acids (neurotransmitters) are absolutely central for you to get back your physical, emotional, and mental well-being.

Depression and other mood disorders are caused by an imbalance of certain biochemicals in the brain and the nervous system called neurotransmitters. These biochemicals allow brain cells to communicate with one another. Two neurotransmitters that tend to be out of balance in depressive people are Serotonin and Norepinephrine. An imbalance in Serotonin may cause the sleep problems, irritability and anxiety characteristic of depression, while an imbalance of Norepinephrine, which regulates alertness and arousal, may contribute to the fatigue and depressed mood.

With the help of well balanced serotonin, dopamine, epinephrine and norepinephrine you may once again be calm, focused, energetic, think clearly, smile effortlessly and experience the joy of being alive. No depression, anxiety, panic or fear, just you at your best.

“I am taking Neurotransmitters to get my depression and anxiety under control. It’s BEEN A LIFE SAVER. I have been on Neurotransmitters for 10 days. WHAT A DIFFERENCE. I am getting better with each day.”
David B.

Researchers have also found that people with depression and other mood disorders have imbalances in stress hormones (glucocorticoids) especially cortisol. The cortisol is a biochemical the body produces in response to extreme long-term stress, anger or fear.
When the hypothalamus, the brain’s “control center,” perceives a threat, it sends chemical signals to the brain’s pituitary gland, “master hormone” gland. The pituitary gland then sends chemical signals to the adrenal glands, which sit atop the kidneys. In response the adrenal glands release the stress hormone cortisol, which triggers many of the physiological responses to danger. This process is known as the fight-or-flight response which, if prolonged, can actually change the physical structure of the brain.

“When I first came here I was tired and depressed all the time and didn’t care about life at all. After one year on the “Neurotransmitter Therapy” I have lost 15 pounds (it was easy), I am going out on dates and having fun instead of sitting in front of the TV. I have been more confident and had less anxiety when being around people. I am continually excelling at work and I am starting my own business. I feel freer to live my life than I have since I was a child. I also realize I am a lot smarter than I thought!”

For many years researchers had examined a range of influences that can contribute to depression and other mood disorders including genetics, brain chemistry, early life trauma, negative thinking, personality and temperament, stress, and difficulty relating to others. As well as excessive caloric intake, poor diet, obesity and inactivity.

The breakthrough, however, came from the emerging scientific research suggesting that chronic inflammation, oxidative stress, neurotransmitters and hormonal imbalances in the body and in the brain can cause or exacerbate neurological illnesses such depression, anxiety, bipolar, ADHD and others.

“I have been on NeuroReplete and CysReplete consistently now for five months. It has been life changing. I have dealt with two deaths, my mother and my sister only 30 days apart, also, a broken wrist 30 days prior to that. My life became so upside-down. Dr. Stewart  and Ania rescued me. My life is so much more balanced and I have been able to handle all of the many life stresses. These two neurotransmitters raised my levels of life and hope. I am never without them.” Carolyn S

What causes chronic inflammation, oxidative stress, neurotransmitters and hormonal imbalances and in turn neurological illnesses is the overwhelming amount of toxicity we are exposed to on the regular bases.

Those research studies have long recognized the role biotoxins and mycotoxins especially the indoor molds and solvents as well as mercury and others have metal toxicity, tick bite (Lyme), viral and fungal infections play in neurological conditions. It is now well documented that fungi, including molds, release toxins that activate immune system cells and trigger them to destroy brain cells.

“I want to be healthy and happy, a joy for my husband instead of a drag. I want to be able to think clearly and make good decisions without second guessing myself and doubting. I want to be creative and carry out my ideas. I am such a mess and don’t know the way out. Do you think there is any hope for me?”
(Susan D email)

Molds and their toxins are prevalent in our homes, offices, food supply and in our environment. One in four Americans, a quarter of the normal population, is genetically susceptible to chronic mold illness.

Unfortunately, individuals suffering from neurological illnesses are often misdiagnosed and mistreated. There is a long, well documented, history of a successful use of Amino Acids (neurotransmitters) for alleviating symptoms of depression, anxiety, and other issues related to brain chemistry imbalances. Amino Acids are powerful alternative to pharmaceutical drugs.

The Amino Acids program that we have been successfully implementing for over 16 years is FDA compliant, straightforward medical science. Developed by medical doctors and scientists, and clinically proven to be effective for alleviating the symptoms of depression, anxiety and other brain chemistry imbalances.

By using specifically formulated Amino Acids, we get results without the side effects of pharmaceutical drugs.
